Row for Recovery Month
Row for Recovery Month is Quest In Recovery’s signature campaign held every September to raise awareness around mental health and substance use recovery. Through daily rowing challenges, free paddle sports, and powerful storytelling from our community, we aim to inspire hope, encourage connection, and support young adults on their healing journeys.
What Is Row for Recovery?
Row for Recovery Month is an annual campaign created by Quest In Recovery to support young adults and college students navigating mental health and substance use challenges.
Throughout September, participants engage in daily rowing and paddle boarding activities, connect through shared recovery stories, and join a vibrant community committed to breaking the stigma around mental health.
This movement reminds us all that healing is possible, and that no one has to face their journey alone.
Why It Matters?
Mental health challenges impact millions of young adults each year often silently. The pressures of college, relationships, identity, and more can feel overwhelming.
Row for Recovery Month shines a light on these struggles and offers hope through connection, community, and conversation. By participating, you’re helping to dismantle stigma, encourage open dialogue, and foster a culture where healing and support are possible for all.
Together, we can create lasting change.

Fundraising Goal
This year, our fundraising efforts will help grow Quest on Campus, our student-led mental health awareness program, to now serve students at The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, while continuing our work at the College of Charleston.
By expanding into multiple campuses, we can reach more young adults, create stronger peer support networks, and provide resources that encourage open conversation about mental health. Your support fuels this growth and helps us build a lasting presence in the student community.
